Bridging Lanka is a grassroots, Australian-registered charity working to bridge ethnic, religious, and geographic divides through community-led development in Sri Lanka.
Established in 2010, we deliver holistic, place-based programs in impoverished communities – making clear impact in our focus areas of early childhood education, youth development, women’s empowerment, environmental protection and animal welfare.
We seek support from donors to develop and expand high-impact, low-cost initiatives that create long-term, locally owned change.
Sri Lanka's post-conflict regions particularly Mannar continue to face:
Persistent poverty and unemployment among war-affected populations
Weak access to education and livelihood opportunities
Environmental degradation affecting agriculture and health
Persisting ethnic and social divisions
Limited institutional reach in remote communities
